With Max temporarily out of commission, I took the camera to the barn one evening. I wound up capturing some of the peaceful moments I experience daily now. It is such a relief to be able to enjoy barn time again.
Remember when I thought this saintly creature was ugly? I was wrong.
I got Bonnie an orange vest for hunting season. It's also helpful for picking my brown dog out of the brown surroundings. She wore it to the barn for practice.
I took some photos of Hannah's horses (all of whom I was about to ride while Max healed). This is Falcon.
You've already met Usidore.
Falcon doesn't like it when we bring up his age, but he looks good at 24!
There are times when she really reminds me of a young Herbie.
Sweet Mulberry was about to get added to my riding list as well.
Falcon again.
Bonnie staying out of the pasture, as instructed. Good dog.
While he still hovers at about 13.2hh, this kid's face has really matured in the last few months.
Snowflake stayed for a few weeks while his mom was away. I do not need a pony for anything, but now I want one. I could take six of these and have them pull a chariot, right?
The resident heron does a happy dance.
Two chestnut boys. From this angle, Chip doesn't look that small.
Chip has gone from being scared of dogs to wanting to harass Bonnie. This was the first time I had let her into the pasture with him.
That ear ❤
Fall is here...
Golden hour at the barn makes my soul happy.
My two redheads.
Ok... technically three.
