Ok, I searched through your old posts and I can't find Spot's story. Who was he and why was he put down? He looks like a POA, is that true? anyway, if this is too painful to answer, don't worry about it. I have the curiousity of a cat. Or maybe three.
Spot is an appaloosa. He belongs to the president of the East Coast Trail Riding Association. I competed with him last year, coming in first at the spring Chesapeake CTR. He developed squamous cell carcinoma and it had already spread to his lymph nodes by the time they caught it. He got over a year of quality life after that, but he went down hill this month and had to be put down.
Poor boy. I remember the CTR post you did, I just didn't remember the horse. Hugs to Cate. He looked like a nice horse. I had old-time appys when I was young. They are great horses.
I remember your post about that ride and his condition. I am glad for his and his owners' sake that he did as well as did for so long, but still a sad thing to let such a beautiful boy go.
Oh no, I was wondering how he was coping. RIP Spot :(
